What an incredible trip! I've always wanted to learn to surf, and there's no better place than the Gold Coast. The instructors were so patient, and by the end of our lesson, both my husband and I were standing up and riding waves! The balance of beach time and rainforest exploration was perfect. Springbrook National Park was like stepping into another world - so lush and ancient. Our guide Matt was knowledgeable and fun, and the accommodation was luxurious with amazing views. We especially loved the beach barbecue watching the sunset. Highly recommend this trip for couples wanting a mix of adventure and relaxation!
As a solo traveler, I was looking for a trip that would be fun and social, and this Gold Coast adventure delivered! The small group size meant we became friends quickly, and our guide Emma was excellent at creating a friendly atmosphere. The surfing lesson was a highlight - challenging but so rewarding when I finally stood up on the board! Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary was amazing too - holding a koala was a bucket list moment. The hotel was perfectly located with cafes and restaurants right on the doorstep. My only suggestion would be to include a visit to one of the theme parks as an option, but otherwise, it was a fantastic experience.
We took this trip with our three children (ages 8, 12, and 15), and it was the perfect family holiday! The apartment accommodation gave us plenty of space, and the location was ideal for easy beach access. All three kids loved the surf lesson - the instructors were fantastic with children and made sure everyone had a great time regardless of ability. The boat cruise was another highlight, especially when we spotted dolphins! Our guide Jamie was wonderful with the kids, keeping them engaged during the rainforest walks with fun facts and wildlife spotting. The free time built into the itinerary was much appreciated, allowing us to relax at the pool or beach at our own pace. An excellent family-friendly trip!
